The official premiere of the Audi SQ8 took place on June 22, 2019 during an online presentation, although a few months before that it was shown to VIP guests and journalists during one of their special events. The crossover is "armed" with a powerful V8 diesel engine, which means the following - it simply has no direct competitors on the market, since other SUVs of this format are equipped, as a rule, with gasoline engines.
Externally, the Audi SQ8 practically does not differ from its "civilian brother" (especially if the latter - with the S line package) - only a pair of large-caliber "double-barreled" exhaust system, unique design rims of 21 or 22 inches and nameplates allow to uniquely identify the "charged" model "SQ8".
This is a full-size crossover with corresponding dimensions: its length, width and height are 5006 mm, 1995 mm and 1708 mm, respectively. The wheelbase of the five-door is 2996 mm and its ground clearance ranges from 164 to 254 mm.
Interior
Inside, the Audi SQ8 boasts a red bezel for the engine start button, carbon fiber-look inserts, sports front seats with integrated head restraints and an additional instrument display mode with a center tachometer.
As for the rest, the interior of the "charged" car echoes that of the standard model - a beautiful and technological design, a high-class level of performance, a five-seat layout and a trunk with a volume of 605 to 1755 liters.

The Audi SQ8 is equipped with a 4.0-liter diesel engine "eight" EA 898 with a V-shaped layout, a pair of sequential turbochargers, an additional electric supercharger, direct fuel injection and a 24-valve timing, generating 422 horsepower at 3500-5000 rpm and 900 Nm of torque at 1000-3250 rpm.
The engine is assisted by an 8 kW starter-generator belt attached to the cylinder block on the right side, which helps the internal combustion engine in the first seconds of acceleration, and also allows the most effective implementation of the start / stop system.
As standard, the car is equipped with an 8-band "automatic" ZF and a quattro all-wheel drive transmission with a Torsen center differential, which by default distributes traction between the axles in a ratio of 40:60.
Dynamics, speed and consumption
From 0 to 100 km / h, the premium crossover “shoots out” in just 4.8 seconds, and its “maximum speed” is electronically limited to 250 km / h. In mixed conditions, the car "digests" an average of 8.3 liters of fuel for every "hundred" of the run.
Design features
From a constructive point of view, the Audi SQ8 as a whole repeats the base model - a modular MLB bogie of the second generation at the base, fully independent suspensions with pneumatic elements (front - double wishbone, rear - multi-link), adaptive electric power steering and ventilated disc brakes "in a circle" ...
Among other things, for a surcharge, the car relies on a fully steerable chassis, carbon-ceramic brakes and active electromechanical stabilizers.

In the Russian market, the Audi SQ8 in 2020 is offered at a price of 7,100,000 rubles.
