Lada Kalina NFR R1 is a racing modification of a five-door hatch, created by the efforts of the specialists of the sports division "Lada Sport" in accordance with the technical standards of the "Russian Automobile Federation", which are suitable for most domestic "racing series" ... Serial production of a car that has received many modern engineering solutions, started in January 2016, after which he began his "sports career".

Externally, Lada Kalina NFR R1 will not be difficult to recognize - it differs from the “civilian” model by an aerodynamic body kit around the perimeter of the body, “gills” on the hood lid, 14-inch alloy wheels and some other attributes.

The overall length of the racing "Kalina" is 3965 mm, of which 2506 mm is reserved for the gap between the axles. The width and height of the car reach 1682 mm and 1450 mm, respectively, and its "combat" weight without a driver is 950 kg.

Inside the Lada Kalina NFR R1, a truly sporty atmosphere reigns: there is nothing superfluous - a compact three-spoke steering wheel, a digital indicator instead of the usual "instrumentation", a center console that has placed on itself functions that are extremely necessary on the track, Recaro buckets in the front seats and a full safety cage.

The engine compartment of the domestic "car" is filled with a 1.6-liter gasoline "aspirated" with four "pots", variable valve timing, distributed injection, original intake and welded exhaust manifolds and a direct-flow exhaust system.
It generates 155 "horses" at 7000 rpm and 156 Nm of peak torque at 5800 rpm, and works with a 5-speed "mechanics", limited slip differential and front-wheel drive transmission.

Technically, Lada Kalina NFR R1 largely repeats the standard Kalina 2 - it is built on a front-wheel drive bogie with MacPherson struts in front and a torsion beam at the rear and is equipped with electric power steering.

The racing version features a lightweight body, front suspension mounted on a separate subframe with welded arms and a reinforced rear suspension structure. In addition, the five-door has disc brakes on all wheels with a diameter of 296 mm and 260 mm at the front and rear, respectively.

The most "capable" Lada Kalina on the Russian market can be purchased at a price of 950,000 rubles.

The car does not find any benefits of civilization, but it has all the necessary "racing paraphernalia": sports seats, hydraulic handbrake, electric power steering, welded roll cage, all-wheel disc brakes, limited slip differential, sport shock absorbers and much more.
