In early November 2016, Audi organized an Internet presentation of the "charged" convertible "S5", the open debut of which took place a little later - as part of the international auto show in Los Angeles. In developing the car, the Germans took advantage of all the advanced technologies that they had already tested on the models of the same name with a closed body type, and left a multilayer fabric roof in its arsenal.

The "hot" essence of the Audi S5 Cabriolet is given by the radiator grille with double louvres, the rear bumper with a pseudo-diffuser and a quartet of exhaust pipes, exterior mirrors painted in silver, unique design wheels and S5 badges around the body.

The open version of the "eski" is 4692 mm long, and its height and width fit into 1368 mm and 1846 mm, respectively. A gap of 2765 mm is placed between the axles of the car.

The inner world of the Audi S5 Cabriolet of the second generation is borrowed from the "civilian" model, but small improvements have been made to it - a sports multi-steering wheel truncated at the bottom, S5 logos, bucket-shaped front seats with diamond-shaped patterns and a significant amount of leather, Alcantara and aluminum in finishing.

In terms of other parameters, the two-door repeats its standard "brother" and demonstrates a luxurious design with a bunch of progressive options, the highest level of performance, a two-seater "gallery" and a 380-liter cargo compartment (the cloth top "hides" in 15 seconds and rises in 18 seconds) ...

Specifications. The Eski's engine compartment is filled with a 3.0 TFSI gasoline V-shaped six-cylinder engine with a winged metal block, a two-flow turbocharger, a direct power supply system and variable valve timing technology, the potential of which reaches 354 horses at 5400-6400 rpm and 500 Nm at 1370-4500 rpm.
"Six" works in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission ZF and all-wheel drive quattro, equipped with a Torsen center differential, which as standard directs 40% of the thrust to the front wheels and 60% to the rear wheels.

The capabilities of the "second" Audi S5 Cabriolet are pleasantly impressive: the speedometer needle passes through the first "hundred" after 5.1 seconds, and continues to move up to 250 km / h (the "maximum speed" is fixed by the electronics). In the combined cycle, 7.7-7.8 liters of fuel escapes from the tank per 100 kilometers.

The "charged" convertible has few technical differences from the standard model - "evil" brakes with 355-mm "pancakes" and six-piston calipers on the front axle and more sporty suspension calibrations.
At the heart of the two-door is the MLB Evo platform with a "two-lever" in front and a "multi-link" at the rear, an electromechanical power steering and ventilated brake discs "in a circle".

Options and prices. The cost of the Audi S5 Cabriolet 2017 model year in Germany starts at 67,800 euros (~ 4.78 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
The functionality of the car combines LED lighting technology, zonal "climate", front and side airbags, 18-inch "rollers", a multimedia system, "music" with ten speakers and a large number of other modern technologies.
